Cholpon's story

Cholpon is 47 years old, married, and has 4 children. She works as a teacher at a local school, and as an additional source of income has been raising livestock and growing crops since 1995, having started her business with 8,500 som she used to purchase goats. Thanks to Cholpon's hard work, her herd currently includes 2 dairy cows with offspring, 2 horses, and 12 goats and sheep. He monthly business income amounts to 20,000 som. Cholpon's profits have allowed her to provide education to her children. Her eldest daughter Nazira has followed in her mother's footsteps and now works as a teacher, while her son Alymzhan is in the military.

In order to continue developing her business, Cholpon has turned to Bai Tushum & Partners for a loan of 135,000 som (KGS) to purchase livestock for fattening and resale, and to prepare animal fodder to the upcoming winter. She plans to invest her profits from this loan into further livestock purchases, so as to amass sufficient funds to pay for education of her middle son Turat, who is finishing high school and preparing to enrol in college.
