A loan of $1,475 helped to purchase agricultural supplies.

Felix Gabriel's story

Felix is 43 years old, married and has a degree in Humanities. He has six children under his care, and her currently works at a school in the community of Toralapa Alta, municipality of Tíraque, about 70 kilometers from the city of Cochabamba. He serves as an interim professor of carpentry and earns a fixed monthly salary. Also, as a second source of income, he works in agriculture, producing potatoes, barley and oats with his wife on their own lands. He grows potatoes in particular, which he does collectively (that is to say, Felix is responsible for the land and part of the supplies, and another person is responsible for the labor costs and the other part of the supplies, and at harvest time they divide the crops equally). Lastly, he says his wish is to buy a small plot of land for a home, but first he needs to request a loan to have working capital.
