Victoria Isabel's story

Victoria, 25, lives with her mother and three sisters, who she helps through her work. Her home is located in the city of Imperial which is known for its varied climate and its crop agriculture, especially cotton, maize and others. Victoria is very charismatic and, especially, ingenious. She started her own business selling sweets and renting clothing two years ago outside a rehabilitation center. She came up with the idea because the rehabilitation center only allows entry to women wearing skirts; and one day some women asked her if anyone rented skirts. After that she decided on the business and, through much effort, has been able to cover her education costs. She is studying business administration and works hard to get ahead and support her family. She believes the reason business is going so well is because she is kind to the customers, mainly because she is very determined to be successful.

Victoria is grateful to Kiva lenders, because through their help she can buy sweets such as chocolate, sodas, cookies, etc, as well as skirts to rent. This will improve her income so she can continue working toward her goal which is: "To finish her administration studies and open a large store¨.
