A loan of $2,975 helped a member to increase her capital and buy "pagnes" for resale, fabrics to make and sell clothes, and to buy spare parts for her sewing machine.

Umuco Ii Group's story

Fédeline is a member of the Umuco II group and she lives in Kayanza. She is 50 years old and married to Moїse, a driver. They have a 19-year-old child who attends school. Fédeline has five students in her care.

She sells clothes and she has been working as a tailor for 26 years.

This is her 12th loan with Turame. With the loan that she is receiving from Kiva, she will increase her capital and buy "pagnes" (colorful West-African fabrics) for resale. She will also purchase fabrics with which to sew clothes that she will sell, and some spare parts for her sewing machine.

In the coming years, she would like to be involved in modern agriculture and animal-husbandry. She also wants to see her child go to university.

In this group: Fédeline, Céline, Béatrice, Jacqueline, Odette
