Mariscal Centauro Group's story

The Communal Bank “Mariscal De Centauro” is starting its second loan cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the Cascada Community Center. This group has eight members and is led by a Board of Directors in which Sra. Andrea serves as the treasurer. The members of this Communal Bank engage in various business activities such as selling food, selling bricks, managing a neighborhood store, selling toys, selling chicken, providing tea and lunch services, and selling meat.

This loan will be used to benefit small micro-entrepreneurs, such as Sra. Andrea who is one of the members. She is participating in her fourth loan cycle since joining Pro Mujer. Andrea received an invitation from a promoter who visited her house. She currently has a business of selling food. Since it was established, her business has grown gradually based on the amount of capital she has. At the moment, her business and her capital have grown.

The loan she is receiving now will be used to improve her equipment. She will acquire pots and a stove by purchasing these items at the fair in the city of La Paz. Andrea will eventually use these items in her vending space. Working in this manner enables her to generate income to support her family. Andrea is married and has four children.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, Andrea said that she enjoys the company of her fellow group members.
