Adwowa's story

Adwowa cooks and sells banku (a local dish made from corn dough and served hot with soup). She serves the banku with fish and vegetable sauce in Asafora, near Cape Coast.

Adwowa is married to a farmer and has seven children. Adwowa has done this business for six years now. She uses her income to support her husband to pay their childrens' school fees. Her loan will be used to purchase bags of maize and fish for her banku business.
