Kurbongul's story

Y. Kurbongul is 40 years old, married and has seven children. She makes a living growing crops such as potatoes, onions and tomatoes. Kurbongul’s husband and her older children help her in the business, where they work from early 6:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Each year, Kurbongul grows crops sufficient for her family to eat and for selling. This business had been the main source of income for the family for the last 12 years. She and her husband work very hard to give their children a good home and to make them happy. Kurbongul is planning to cover the higher education expenses of her younger son and to arrange the marriage of her elder son. She’s asking for a loan of $600. The loan will be repaid in nine months.
