Ikatu Group's story

The group “Ikatu” is a committee of 16 women who are well-organized, unified, hardworking, and supportive of one another. These women are from the city of Villarrica and are all neighbors and friends. They have joined together so that they can provide support and help one another as they continue to improve their quality of life each day. These women are excited about their continued participation in a microcredit program so that they can improve their businesses and generate more income.

One of these women is Sra. Graciela, who makes crafts from “ao po’i”, a traditional Paraguayan woven fabric. She is requesting a loan so that she can buy thread, needles, fabrics, and other supplies in order to continue producing her crafts.

In this group: Graciela, Fatima, Celia, Nilda, Nelida, Anita, Olinda, Maria, Gertrudis, Veronica, Romina, Gerarda, Pabla, Paola*, Laura*, Cyntia*
