Mario Domingo's story

Mario is a 35-year-old gentleman who manufactures casual clothing. He lives in Sololá and has been able to move forward after separating from his wife and daughter.

Mario produces jeans for men, children, and women. He delivers his goods within two departments of the country. Mario started out working at a clothing factory, but he saw that a good business could generate an acceptable level of income to support himself and his mother. He decided to buy his first sewing machine and fabrics for makings jeans.

Mario started his business two years ago. He now has three machines used for sewing fabric. During this time of the year, Mario needs to deliver a large quantity of jeans to one of his suppliers. Therefore, he needs a loan of 5,000 GTQ in order to buy rolls of canvas fabric for producing a variety of jeans. This will help him generate better earnings.

His greatest wish moving forward is to expand his business by acquiring more machinery and raw materials for expanding his product market to other places.
