A loan of $350 helped to buy 50 chickens and to repair the coop where they will be raised.

Marta Lucía's story

Marta is married and has two children, ages 5 and 7. Two years ago, she established her business of raising chickens because she needed to generate income. She wanted to contribute financially toward the household expenses so that her family could overcome great economic difficulties. Since starting her business, her family’s quality of life has improved. This motivates her to continue working hard so that she can grow her business.

Marta is looking to improve her production capacity so that she can attend to the orders from her customers. Therefore, she is seeking a loan in order to buy 50 chickens and to repair the coop where they will be raised. Her dream is to have a successful business that will enable her to acquire a house of her own. As a result, she will be able to provide her husband and two children a better quality of life and a more stable home.
