Gansuh's story

Gansuh is 46 years old and lives with her husband and two children in a small house in Niseh district, Mongolia. Her husband, Naranmandah, works as a security officer in a private company. Her son, Tsagaantogoo, is 22 years old. He is a disabled. Her daughter, Otgontogoo, is 20 years old. She studies in a university.

Gansuh started her business in 1994 to make traditional children's shoes. Shoemaking is a skill she picked up from working in a shoe factory.

She is planning to repair her own house. She is asking 2,500,000 MNT to buy vacuum windows and a smokeless stove in order to be warm during the harsh winters in Mongolia.
