Victoria is married and the mother of 1 daughter who is still too young to attend School, lives in her own house with her family and doesn't support anyone else.

She's a nurse with the Ministry of Health and a permanent employee at her local health centre. With the current loan she intends to buy construction materials (beams, iron, zinc sheets, cement and others) to rehabilitate and expand her house.

In future she plans to build another house on the second piece of land she owns and to this end, she commits to duly paying off the loan in order to solicit further loans from Hluvuku.

Her challenge is to work even more and improve in order to solicit further loans to reach her objectives.

About Housing Loans

Many poor families cannot afford housing that meets their needs. When you make a housing loan on Kiva, you give people access to flexible capital to obtain or improve their homes. Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes. In this way, housing and small business loans on Kiva share a common purpose: to alleviate poverty and enable families to enjoy more stable lives.
