Diouma Ngor's Group's story

This group has been in existence since 13th December 2008 and is made up of 20 members who all know each other and are related. Mbène, who is 38 years old is married and has six children (three girls and three boys); she is standing on the left of the photo with her hand raised. With this loan she is going to buy "niébe" beans, groundnut, "bissap" (a refreshing drink made from hibiscus flowers) and millet, which she will resell at the weekly markets. She has been carrying out this business for several years.

The profits she makes will allow her to improve her family's living conditions by helping out her husband with the family expenses, particularly health and schooling costs.
