A loan of $675 helped a member to buy a decent motorbike for her husband’s business.

Khorn's Group's story

Originally from a rural village located in the Sangke district of Battambang province, Khorn is 44 years old and married. She has two children and now they both have their own employment. To make a living, she has been working as a cleaner in a university in the local area for two years while her husband is a motor-taxi driver. Together, they can earn about 49,000 KHR per day and save about 19,000 KHR each day for future needs. This is a group loan for Khorn with VisionFund and she has been a member of VisionFund for three cycles already. She completely paid back the loans, which have helped her better support her family. Now she and her group member are applying for a loan of KHR 1,300,000 and KHR 1,400,000 respectively. She wants to use her portion to buy a decent motorbike for her husband’s business. She hopes this loan will enable her husband to have a decent motorbike to use to run his business and she hopes he will earn more income from the current business.
