A loan of $625 helped a member to buy pesticides for her farmland.

Sreypov's Group's story

A citizen from a rural village of Kampong Cham province’s Dambae district, Sreypov is 23 years old and married. She has two children to take care of who are still in school. To feed her family, she grows cassava, mangoes, and cashews on a four-hectare area of farmland. She has been in this business for ten years. The current business earns her about 40,000 KHR per day to meet the family needs. Sreypov’s group consists of three members who are all females and she has been with VisionFund for one cycle. The past loan has helped her better support the current business. Now she is leading her group to apply for a loan with VisionFund. As the leader, she is going to use her portion to buy pesticides for her farmland and use a portion of it to spend on labor fees. She hopes to have a healthy yield to increase her family’s income so as to make a better living and keep her children in school.
