A loan of $975 helped buy many bags of farm manure and island guano for his potato crops.

Epifanio's story

Epifanio, 42, lives with Elinda and they have 4 children. They live in their own house built by Epifanio, which is located in a farming area. Epifanio is a hard worker. He is a farmer and like a good man of the field, leaves his house every morning with his tools, to take advantage of the first rays of sunlight to cultivate his products. He sows potatoes of the “Yungay”, Única” and “Canchán” varieties; these are the most solicited potatoes by his buyers and go for the best price. He knows these details because he’s been a farmer for about 20 years.
For about a month now, he’s been sowing, but because he has parcels of land in different and far away areas, this month will end with him finishing the rest of the sowing. He already has potato seeds, as he selects a percentage from every harvest to use later.
Epifanio is requesting your support to buy bags of organic fertilizer and to conclude the year’s sowing. This is his 6th loan with MFP. He promises to pay his monthly quotas on time. He enjoys his work with the Communal Bank “Dos de Mayo” because his associates are responsible.
He’ll invest the 2500 soles in buying many bags of farm manure and island guano for his potato crops.
