Pc1 Keur Salla Derguene Group's story

This group was formed on the 28th December 2009. The women live in the same village and their main activity is commerce. Fatou was born on the 13th January 1970; she is married and the mother of eight children - four boys and four girls. She is a trader of basic foodstuffs. She goes into the city to buy sugar and tea, which she sells from her home back in the village. With her profits she is able to increase her savings at the BV ('Banc Villageois') and to cover the schooling and healthcare costs for her children, as well as the daily household expenses.
