A loan of $1,275 helped to buy new garden tools, seeds and fertilizers.

Adil's story

Adil is a 57-year-old IDP, who lives in the Bilasuvar IDP Settlement with his wife and two children. He is a farmer and has grown seasonal fruits and vegetables for the last 10 years. He chose this business because it is profitable and fresh crops are in high demand. People use fresh vegetables everyday and consider them healthy, and many national dishes are made with vegetables, like pilau and dolma. Fresh fruits are served at every table in an Azerbaijan family, and also used to make fresh punch.

Adil sells his crop in the BIlasuvar central bazaar, and from his garden. His monthly income is 120 AZN. His wife actively helps him to raise the crops.

As these products are in high demand, Adil wants to expand his business and produce more fruits and vegetables to cover market demand. For this purpose he applied for 1000 AZN. He will buy new garden tools, seeds and fertilizers.
