Flor Margarita's story

This lady, Flor, is an active member of the community bank Mas que Vencedoras (More than Winners). She lives in the city center of Azogues, a city characterized by the skillful hands of its artisans and the friendliness of its people. The center is a mix of colonial and modern architecture and modern, and people still maintain the traditions and culture of their ancestors.

Flor, 39, is married with four children age 19, 17, 10 and 8 years old. Her eldest daughter is studying in college, her second daughter is married and lives independently and the youngest two children are studying in a school in the city. Her husband is a mechanic and has his own workshop. They do not have their own home and live in a rented house.

Flor is a very enterprising woman who works daily in her business selling natural products, called 'Omnilife'. She has this business because her husband used these products to improve his health, and she has always recommend it to her customers. Flor also sells parts for sewing machines, helped by her husband who is very technical.

Her loan will be invested in the purchase of natural products and spare parts for sewing machines. She likes her communal bank because of the camaraderie of the group.

Flor's goal is to grow their businesses.
