Khatuna is from Sagarejo district, East Georgia. She is 30 years old and lives with her husband, three children and her parents. Khatuna’s children go to the local school. Her parents are provided with a retirement pension. Khatuna’s husband works at the Ministry of Defence of Georgia and gets a monthly income. The family runs a small dairy farm of two calves and two milk cows, whose milk is used in dairy production. Khatuna sells her dairy products at the local market. Khatuna is very hard-working woman, with a great desire to get ahead.

She requested a loan to purchase sheep. After the sheep are purchased she will be able to get milk, produce more cheese and sell lambs. This will significantly increase the income of the family. The increased income will be reinvested in the family's agricultural business and all members of the family will have improved living conditions.
