A loan of $375 helped to pay for beads and other materials needed in her business.

Flora's story

This is Flora, 44, a resident of Bacoor, Cavite, Philippines. She is married to Antonio, a factory worker, and a mother to her three children, all of whom are still in school. She, together with her husband, manages their household. At this time, she is working hard to continually provide income for their everyday expenses.

Flora is an accessory maker. She buys materials like strings and different kinds of beads for making accessories like bracelets and necklaces for men and women. Her regular customers are her neighbors and the local community. She earns a minimum of PHP 200 in sales every day.

To help her continue the operation of her business, she is requesting a PHP 15,000 loan. She will be utilizing the loan to buy materials for the accessories. She expects a boost in her business income as she expands her business.

Flora dreams to be able to give all her children a good and high quality education through all her hard work on her business. She faithfully meets up with her co-fellowship members to share stories of her work every week.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and pay Micro Finance loans.
