A loan of $475 helped to pay coffee harvesters.

Hugo's story

Hugo has worked in the fields for many years, and he learned alongside his parents and siblings, who also worked raising livestock. He married Eudocia when he was 19 years old and they have four children. Hugo is a member of "Unión Regional de Huatasco". This is where he brings his coffee harvest every year so that it can be processed and exported. During the season when there is not much work, he and his family take care of the necessary work on the farm, but for the harvest, he needs to hire workers to cut the coffee. He is applying for a loan to be able to pay them. Hugo's goal as a coffee grower is to increase his production and for this reason he has replanted part of his farm. After the harvest, Hugo wants to put a grocery store in his house. In addition to coffee, Hugo also grows corn, beans, and sugar cane.
