A loan of $350 helped to purchase more spare ribs, chicken and pigs' feet to increase her sales.

Rebecca's story

Rebecca, 46, is a mother of five children. She is married and lives in Congo Town. Her children are between the ages of 6 and 27. Three of them stay with her at home and are attending school, while the other two live outside the home and are independent. Her husband serves as a security guard,

Rebecca started in this business with a little amount that she had been saving. She has been selling spare ribs, chicken, and pigs' feet in the market for the past twenty years. She makes a profit when she sells, and with the profit she buys more goods to improve the business. She has requested her third loan from BRAC Liberia to purchase more spare ribs, chicken and pigs' feet to increase her sales. Her plan for the future is to educate her children.
