A loan of $2,450 helped to purchase 10 sheep and 2 heifers.

Shuru's story

Shuru is 55 and widowed. To provide for her family, Shuru started raising crops and animals back in the Soviet times, having started the business with 500 Soviet rubles. Thanks to Shuru's hard work, her farm currently has 2 dairy cows with calves, 20 sheep and goats, and 2 horses. Her monthly income from the farm is around 5,000 KGS.
To develop her business further, Shuru has requested a loan of 115,000 KGS from Bai Tushum & Partners to buy 10 sheep for fattening and resale and 2 heifers. She plans to invest the income from the loan into her business by buying further heads of livestock.
