Sok Chan is 59 years old. She is widowed and resides with a daughter in Battambang Province, Cambodia. She has been selling rice, charcoal and gas for more than a year, earning approximately $5 daily. Her daughter is employed in a restaurant and earns about $4 each day. In order to improve her family’s finances, Sok Chan is requesting a loan of $1,000 to purchase more rice and charcoal to resell. By doing so, she would earn more income for the family. In the future, she would like to expand her business and build a new house if possible
