Saran, age 21, operates a grocery store business. She has run her business for over a year and earns about $10 per day. She lives with her husband and their one child in Takeo Province, Cambodia. Her husband helps her run the business.
In order to improve her family’s livelihood, Saran is requesting a loan of $1,000 to purchase an assortment of groceries and beverages to offer for sale. This purchase will help her earn more profit.
In the future, she would like to expand her business and ensure her child's education. Moreover, she hopes eventually to build a new house for her family.
