A loan of $650 helped to buy shoes to sell in her shop.

Maryuri Eliett's story

El Sauce is located 90 kilometers from León Department. It’s a beautiful town surrounded by flower-covered mountains and rushing rivers where most of the houses are made of clay bricks and tile roofs. It’s notable for having hardworking, enterprising, beautiful women like Maryuri Eliett, 23. She was born and raised here with good moral principles and a love of work that she was taught from a very early age in order to fend for herself and earn her own income.

She started her business two years ago. She sold clothes and shoes from place to place and now has a store stocked with clothes, shoes and costume jewelry located at home. Demand is high among the residents above all salaried employees who visit her store because of her kindness and because of the good assortment of goods she sells.

She’s requesting this loan to buy shoes because it’s the product most in demand and best-selling in her business and she needs capital to be able to meet customer demand. She thanks Kiva and Ceprodel for the support from these small loans that help many businesses that need working capital to get ahead and become stable in the marketplace.
