A loan of $475 helped to hire field hands.

Javier's story

Javier is married to Olivia and has two children. He has been raising coffee for several years and learned from his father, who taught him everything he needed to know. Javier delivers his harvest to “Unión Regional de Huatusco” so that it can be processed and exported. He needs a loan so that he can hire field hands to work the next harvest. Even though he wants to take charge of everything, it’s impossible for him to do it all himself. Javier also works as a night watchman for a company. He and his wife would like to be able to offer their two children the possibility of studying at university so that they will be better prepared and be able to find better jobs in the future.
