A loan of $650 helped to buy supplies for her business, such as glass, mirrors and spark plugs.

Kelly Johana's story

Kelly Johana is 28 years old. She is the mother of four children that are between 3 and 11 years old. She and her husband work a lot in order to provide for their family, designing and carving glass in their own business.

When Kelly's husband had 3 years of experience with glass, and Kelly convinced him of starting their own business, they became independent with a credit, buying the tools to decorate glass for doors, windows and mirrors. Even though this represented a risk, she was right, because 3 years later, they have achieved a higher income. They first design by drawing how the glass will look like. Then, it has to be polished and carved, and finally sold to doors and windows manufacturers.

Kelly and her husband's dreams of prosperity are huge, that is why she is requesting her first credikiva with Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, to buy supplies for her business, such as glass, mirrors and spark plugs [used for carving the glass]. With more money to invest, she can increase the production and earn more, increasing her family's income. Her goal is to expand her business so she can improve her family's house and quality of life.
