Saltanat is 48 years old and is raising three children. As the main source of income for her family, Saltanat is engaged in raising crops and livestock, having started this business after the collapse of the Soviet Union that caused unemployment and the dissolution of collective farms. Starting with five sheep, Saltanat through hard work today has in her farm six dairy cows with offspring and ten sheep. Monthly income from the farm is around 2,700 Som (KGS).

With the goal of further developing her business, Saltanat requested a loan from Bai-Tushum and Partners in the amount of 100,000 Som (KGS) to buy sheep for fattening and resale. She plans to invest income from the loan in business development, in order to accumulate the sum needed to pay for tuition fees for her younger child.
