A loan of $3,800 helped a member to restock the grocery store.

Vikindu Group's story

Maneno, who is in her mid-30s, is married with two children who go to school. She has been running a grocery store where she sells food and drinks for four years now. She works from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily and is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be Maneno's third loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to buy more drinks for the grocery store and pay for some of the household expenses. She has paid back all her loans successfully. She wants a loan to restock the missing items in her grocery store. Her dream is to one day be able to build her own house.

Maneno will share this loan with her loan group, "Vikindu," which has a total of 10 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.

In this group: Maneno, Rajabu, Mkenda, Hadija, Flora, Digna, Mariam, Maua, Wastara, Mosi
