A loan of $975 helped to make improvements to his house.

Saddam Hussein's story

Saddam is a 19 year old young man. He lives in the city of Chincha with his life partner and their four month old baby. He is a very kind, hard-working, and enthusiastic person. He and his life partner devote all of the efforts into getting ahead.

Unfortunately, due to the lack financial resources and the need to cover their expenses, Saddam was not able to study for a professional career. However, he would have really liked to have been able to do so.

In his free time he likes to play soccer with his friends. Sometimes he makes the delicious Ceviche Mixto to share with his family.

On his own initiative, and with much effort and dedication, Saddam works as a field worker for an agricultural company in his city. He starts his work in in the early hours of the morning every day. He is able to work approximately ten hours. He believes that it is going well for him because of his good effort and because of the kind way that he treats others.

Saddam is very grateful to the Kiva lenders. Thanks to the help they provided he will be able to make improvements to his home. He wants to plaster and paint the small room where he lives and equip it with the necessary installations. This way Saddam’s surroundings will be in better condition, which will provide for greater security and the well-being of his family.

He will continue working and putting forth effort in order to achieve his big dream of having his own house.
