A loan of $2,600 helped a member increase her capital and introduce commercial activity of maize flour by purchasing two bags to re-sell.

Indatwa Group's story

Claudine is a member of the Indatwa group and lives in Bujumbura. She is 32 years old and married to Emmanuel, a farmer. Together, they have 6 children aged 4 to 16, 5 of whom attend school.

For the past 12 years, she has been involved in the commercial activity of a variety of food products (sweet potatoes, manioc, beans).

This is the first loan she is asking for from Turame. She will use this loan to add the buying/selling of maize flour to her activity, through the purchase of two bags of flour.

In the future, she hopes to purchase a sewing machine and a plot of land.
