Yasmeen's Group's story

Yasmeen is a 41-year-old diligent and married woman. She lives in Punjab, Pakistan, with her husband. She doesn't have any children. Her husband is a government employee. Yasmeen learned to stitch by practicing and working in different workshops. In 2007, she started her own tailoring workshop at her house to have a better quality of life. Yasmeen wants to invest some amount in her workshop by purchasing a sewing machine and tailoring products like threads, fabric, etc. As a member of a 10-person lending group, she has requested a loan from Kiva partner, BRAC Pakistan. With the profit, she will pay her household expenses and purchase some furniture for her house. Yasmeen's biggest dream is to have a large tailoring shop in the main market, where she will produce all types of products. She sends her best regards to Kiva.
