Mwangari's story

Mwangari is a resident of Mariakani, Kenya. He owns a grocery shop which has been in operation for the last three years. He has two children. Mwangari started his business from the savings he made from casual jobs at construction sites. The business now hosts a vegetables and cereals shop.

Mwangari is applying for a loan of 52,250 Kenyan shillings to build a store for the new stock. The additional income from this loan will help Mwangari pay for his children’s school fees and also start other projects. His ambition is to become a wholesaler despite the challenge of price fluctuations. He will save the additional income towards the building of a residential house.
