Salim's story

Salim lives in the Kongowea area of Coast Province, Kenya. He is married and has five children, four of whom attend school. He owns a green grocer that he has been operating for 11 [years]. He sells fruits at Kenya’s largest open air market situated on the coast. His main challenge has been lack of funds for business operations.

Salim learnt about Milango through friends. He aims to access credit to improve his business operations. Salim is applying for a loan of 41,850 Kenyan shillings to buy mangoes, oranges, etc. His extra income from the loan will be added to his savings to improve the standard of living of his family. His dream is to build a big fully equipped grocery store.
