Aguilas Group's story

Águilas is a group made up of six enterprising women, dedicated to getting ahead with their families. They are called “Águilas” (Eagles) because their dreams are to become as high as the flight of Eagles. Petra is one of the group’s members. She’s married, and has three children, two sons ages 25 and 21 who work to help with the household expenses, and one daughter in fourth grade. Petra sells tacos, gorditas, and healthy food for children. She has her stand set up across from the school. She will use the money from this loan to buy ingredients to make her tacos and gorditas, refill her cooking gas, etc.

One of Petra’s important goals is to set up a formal business and be able to open it all day; normally she is only open in the mornings.

In this group: Beatriz Adriana, Maria Cristina , Maria Sanjuana, Martha Veronica, Petra, Tania Magalli
