Sai is 27 years old. She is married and resides with her four children in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia. She has been running a business purchasing creels (wicker baskets) to resell for more than five years, earning approximately $5 per day. Her husband is a construction foreman. He earns about $8 each day. Sai is requesting a loan of $1,000 to pay the wages of her husband’s construction staff. In the future, she would like to expand the business and help her children earn bachelor’s degree. Moreover, she plans to build a new house next year.
