Al-Ahood Group's story

This group, called Al-Ahood, consists of five women who live in Hadramout, Yemen. Fatoom is a 31-year-old married woman with one child. She has been running a fruit and vegetables business. She started with a small amount of working capital. Her hardships are the seasonal nature of the business and the inadequate capital to purchase stock. Her personal goal is to educate her child, to expand her business, and to own a wholesale operation. She wants a loan of 50,000 YER from AMB to buy more vegetables for sale.
