A loan of $425 helped to buy a calf for growth, and to invest in the business of selling utensils such as saucepans and cauldrons.

Modesto Miguel's story

Modesto is 31 years old, is a native of the region of La Joya, Teustepe, and is dedicated to grow corn and beans since he was 15 years old. He used to make this activity with his father. He married five years ago, and he started to work independently. He used to work as a laborer to cover the expenses of having a garden. Today, thanks to his work, he has some cows, and to work on his garden he pays some laborers. He sells his crops in the same area. He also sells plastic utensils to other departments.

Modesto is requesting this loan to buy a calf for growth and to invest in the business of selling utensils such as saucepans and cauldrons. He says he will use the loan to invest in buying cauldrons and saucepans to go out and sell to improve his income. He says that when he pays this loan, he will request more, always to buy animals. His next goal is to develop the garden of beans and corn.
