Uzma's Group's story

Uzma is a 42-year-old woman who is living in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, with her husband, daughter and two sons. Her husband and son are doing jobs while she has been operating her business very efficiently and honestly for the past seven years. Her clients always appreciate her work.

Uzma, as a member of a seven-person lending group, has requested a loan from Kiva partner BRAC Pakistan. With the loan amount, she will buy a variety of fabrics in different colors, as well as some tailoring materials like buttons and zippers to fill orders of clients efficiently and more professionally. As she is living in a rented house with her family, she dreams to build her own house. She also desires to increase her business and to provide a quality education to her children. Uzma and her family are very much thankful to both BRAC and Kiva.
