A loan of $2,175 helped a member to purchase fabrics and furniture for her garment shop.

Shehnaz's Group's story

Shehnaz is a 45-year-old woman who is living in Punjab, Pakistan, with her husband, three sons and three daughters. Her husband is an auto electrician and one son is doing a job while the rest of the children are studying in school.

She herself has had been running a garment shop since 2000, which is going successfully. She wants to extend her business more and for that she is looking to buy some more fabrics from different cities. Shehnaz is a member of an eight-person lending group. She has requested a loan from Kiva partner BRAC Pakistan to purchase fabric and some furniture like chairs and tables for the garment shop.

She dreams for her children's bright future and prays for her husband's good health. She wants to say that BRAC is working very well in the field of micro finance, and she is very thankful to BRAC and Kiva for helping her.
