A loan of $400 helped to buy animal feed.

Yesica Liliana's story

Yesica, 26, lives with a partner and her 2 children aged 6 and 4. She lives in her own home, which is a traditional style home built out of rustic materials. The house is located in Mochumi district in the Lambayeque region, more than a half hour from the city of Chiclayo. It is a place that is devoted mainly to agricultural production. Yesica's partner works as a hired hand in the San Miguel mill in Lambayeque.

At the rear of her house, Yesica has corrals where she raises small animals such as turkeys, ducks and chickens. When the animals reach an adequate level of development, she sells them to the traders in the area. With the income she earns, she covers her expenses and those of her family.

Yesica wants to invest in her business by purchasing animal feed and some small animals to fatten. This way, she will be able to sell them at a better price, so that she can improve her quality of life and that of her small children. This is the reason why she is requesting a loan of 1,000 Peruvian soles.
