A loan of $475 helped to buy fertilizer for his coffee fields.

José's story

José began working in his father's coffee fields 30 years ago. Now, he's 42 years old and he and his wife have worked very hard to keep on producing quality coffee, which constitutes his primary source of income. He has two children, in whom he has instilled a love of the countryside, and they help him work in the fields, in both planting and harvesting. Last year he had an output of 4 metric tons, which he deposited with the "Unión Regional de Huatusco" distributor. He would really like to have a bigger crop next year, for which he needs a loan to buy fertilizer for his fields and thus achieve a bigger and better crop of coffee beans. Also, José is working for a coffee processing plant. His family is very important to him, as that's who supports him in his work and he would like to make some improvements to his home so that they can live more comfortably.
