A loan of $2,050 helped a member to buy spare car parts.

Nuevo Amanecer Bautista Group's story

The Nuevo Amanecer Bautista communal bank will begin its new loan cycle with Pro Mujer, which is part of the Los Andes Regional Office. The group is comprised of eight members and is managed by a director's board, of which Lourdes is the president. The businesses of the group's members are varied. Among them are a local store, vegetable sales, food sales, clothing production, spare parts sales, macrame blanket production, and sweater production.

This loan taken out will benefit Lourdes's small businesses. She says that this is her third cycle with Pro Mujer. She was admitted by invitation from a promoter of the group who came to her house to visit her. Currently, she has a business that sells spare car parts. She says that she launched the business years ago with the purchase of some parts, which was her initial capital. Then she worked hard and put a lot of effort into increasing her merchandise.

The loan she will take out is to increase her capital (to buy spare car parts), which she will get from importers. She will then sell it in her sales space. This form of work allows her to generate income to support her family as much as possible. She is married and has six children.

When asked about what she likes most about Pro Mujer, Lourdes responded that she likes the health training and the loans.

In this group: Lourdes Viviana, Victoria, Lorenza , Rogelia Lourdes, Mery Laura, Bacilia Susana, Maria , Santusa Nora
