A loan of $1,200 helped to buy a television, PlayStation console, and Nintendo controls.

Ana Maria's story

Ana is a homemaker who rents out Nintendo games. She is married and lives in Managua. Ana has four children (ages 21, 17, 13, and 19), three of whom are in school. She started her business at the age of 30. The reason for establishing her own business was because her husband was the only one working, but his income was not sufficient for covering what her children needed to get ahead. At that point, she decided to rent out Nintendo games. Thanks to this business, she has the income needed to help pay her children’s university expenses. In addition, Ana provides a safe place to entertain the young people who live in her neighborhood.

She is requesting a loan in order to buy a television, PlayStation console, and Nintendo controls. Ana needs to replace a few pieces of equipment that have been damaged. This will enable her to provide better service to her customers who are always looking to play video games. In the future, she would like to remodel her house so that she can set up a pastry shop. Her next goal is to focus on her children’s education.
