Luisa Amanda's story

Luisa Amanda is 71 years old. She is a single mother of 3 children, aged 53, 50, and 30. All of them are financially independent. The business consists of selling recycled products, such as new and used appliances, and all sizes of decorations. She has 16 years experience and her business is located in her house. She also sells in the street. Luisa's daily routine is working for 8 hours. She started the business as a way to not depend financially on anyone and have an income to live on as well as support her children. Right now her family responsibilities have gone down since everyone is on their own. The purpose of the loan is to invest in her business and stock it to offer a better service to her customers and increase her earnings. Luisa is thankful for the support from the Kiva investors for low income people in poor countries such as Nicaragua.
