Ibrahim's Group's story

Pictured here are primary school teachers from Kenema, a city in Eastern Sierra Leone. This group of teachers, like their counterparts in other SMT operational areas, has come to SMT to apply for a loan of 11,500,000 Sierra Leonean Leones in order to meet their immediate financial challenges. At the end of each month, they will repay the loan using their monthly salaries.

Vandi is the featured leader of this group of teachers. Born in Bombohun, the 51-year-old is married to a businesswoman and the couple has six children attending primary, secondary and tertiary institutions. Vandi is a teacher and has been in the teaching profession for 40 years now. He is requesting this loan in order to pay school fees for his children.
