A loan of $225 helped a member to buy materials for building a proper latrine, such as a latrine bowl and some tile draining.

Man's Group's story

Man lives in a rural village of the Kandal province’s Sa Ang district in Cambodia. She has ten children; seven of her children are dependent on her, some are in school, and some are too young for school. She earns a living through farming rice, while her husband catches fish locally. Their current businesses earn them about 12,000 KHR per day to support their family and help them to save about 6,000 KHR each day after deducting daily expenses. Man’s group consists of four members, and she has been with VisionFund for three cycles. She fully repaid her past loans. Now, she is leading her group to apply for a loan. Man will use her portion of the loan to buy materials for building a proper latrine, such as a latrine bowl and some tile draining. She hopes this loan will enable her to have a proper latrine for her family's use so as to improve their living conditions.
