NONVIGNON 2 is a group of 14 people, whose members live in the same neighborhood in Bénin. The representative of the group, Olive Colette (whose hand is raised in the photo), is 40 years old. Olive Colette is married to a certain Ange. The couple has four children who are all in school and under their care. Among the children, three are their own children. The couple live together with the children and take care of the different needs of the household together. Olive Colette stopped school at the secondary level.

For almost 10 years Olive Colette has been managing a business selling fabric and haberdashery items from her home and in her workshop. Olive Colette practices this business with passion, which allows her to meet her needs. Olive Colette gets her supplies in a market in Bénin. In seeking to satisfy her clientèle, Olive Colette is requesting a third loan with the other members of the NONVIGNON 2 group. This loan will serve to better respond to the demands of their clientèle and to make more profit for themselves. The previous loans were well repaid.

NONVIGNON 2 est un groupement de quatorze personnes, dont les membres résident dans le même quartier au Bénin. La représentante du groupe, Olive Colette dont la main est levée sur la photo), est âgée de 40 ans. Olive Colette est mariée à un certain Ange. Le couple a quatre enfants tous scolarisés et à leur charge. Parmi les enfants, trois sont leurs propres enfants. Le couple vit ensemble avec les enfants et assure ensemble, les différents besoins du ménage. Olive Colette a arrêté l’école au niveau secondaire. Il y a près de dix ans que Olive Colette mène comme activité la vente des tissus et des articles de mercerie à son domicile et dans son atelier. Olive Colette exerce cette activité passionnément, ce qui lui permet de subvenir à ses besoins. Olive Colette s’approvisionne dans un marché du Bénin. Dans la quête de la satisfaction de sa clientèle, Olive Colette sollicite un troisième crédit avec les autres membres du groupement NONVIGNON 2. Ce crédit leur servira à mieux répondre aux demandes de leur clientèle et à se faire plus de profits. Les crédits précédents ont été bien remboursés.

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late.
